Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) is set to return to Lagos for its 12th edition, with organisers confirming the event will run across two days, December 12 and 13, 2026, at the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History.
The staging was said to follow closely on the heels of a successful recent edition of its sister platform, Africa Fashion Week London, with this year’s Lagos edition carrying the theme “The Future Wears Africa.”
AFWN was founded in 2011 by Queen Ronke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi as a pioneering platform aimed at increasing the visibility, awareness and sustainability of African and Black fashion brands.
Organisers say this year’s edition is being supported by communications agency Elizabeth Miller PR, which is leading the event’s publicity efforts.

The two-day event will bring together designers, creatives, buyers, investors, media and fashion audiences, pairing runway showcases with business and cultural conversations shaping the continent’s creative economy.
Day One is said to be dedicated to industry and opportunity, connecting designers with buyers, investors and industry leaders alongside programming on business, technology and innovation.
