Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has received two social impact honours, a Social Impact Award and a Lifetime Social Impact recognition, jointly presented for the first time by the Israel Tribune and 90210 Enterprise. The recognition follows her decision to donate the entire producer’s earnings from her film Mother’s Love to the education of children from underserved communities, including Makoko, one of the locations featured in the film.
Sharing the news, Omotola said she had not anticipated how far the gesture would reach when she made the decision, and that what she called a small act of obedience has continued to inspire her long after the fact. She described the recognition as a reflection of her gratitude for being able to combine her career with giving back to society.

The honour adds to a career that already spans over 40 domestic and international awards, including a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic conferment from the Nigerian government in 2014 and an honorary doctorate from Igbinedion University. Beyond acting, Omotola has built a long running reputation for philanthropy through the Omotola Youth Empowerment Program, and this latest recognition marks another point in a career she has increasingly built around advocacy as much as acting.
