The founder of Gen Z skincare brand Topicals, Olamide Olowe, has stepped down as chief executive officer, appointing former Fenty Beauty executive Sukiana Chancy to take over the role, the company confirmed on Wednesday, Sept 2, 2026.
Chancy previously served as Fenty Beauty’s global general manager for skin, hair, and fragrance, and has also held senior marketing roles at Cay Skin, DevaCurl, The Estée Lauder Companies, and Elizabeth Arden.
Olowe said she wanted a partner who had worked her way up through marketing, built a global brand, and managed a profit-and-loss sheet larger than Topicals’ own.
Olowe will remain involved in Topicals’ day-to-day operations and will take on the role of Chair while continuing to use her platform as founder to promote the brand.

In a social media post announcing the change, Olowe said Topicals had grown twelvefold in revenue over five years, sold more than ten million units of its Faded eye masks, and raised over twenty-two million dollars in venture funding, alongside donating more than two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to mental health causes.
Chancy will lead Topicals’ expansion into the Middle East, Africa, and the rest of Europe, building on its current presence in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Beauty Hut in Nigeria.
Describing her new role, Chancy said her focus would be on building the infrastructure needed to bring the brand’s message to more people.
Topicals has built its identity around skincare for chronic conditions such as eczema and hyperpigmentation, alongside mental health advocacy, and is currently ranked as Sephora’s top-selling Gen Z skincare brand.
