Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, who passed away on October 18, 2026, following a prolonged illness.
The actress shared the news on Instagram on Monday, October 19, alongside photographs of her late mother and an emotional tribute expressing her grief and acceptance of Allah’s will.
In her message, Ade prayed for Allah to forgive her mother’s shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the family strength to navigate the loss.
“She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, sisters, and loved ones, who will forever hold her memory close,” she wrote.
Ade concluded her tribute with a heartfelt message to her mother, expressing her love and praying for eternal peace and reunion in Jannah.
The announcement has drawn an outpouring of condolence messages from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Actors Yemi Solade and Sophie Alakija, alongside Eso Dike, Damilola Oni, Rotimi Salami and Linda Osifo, were among those who expressed sympathy and offered prayers for the family.
